10 hours into the race and this epic Bend course has taken its toll on teams. Fragile Flowers went unofficial after just the first stage when one of their team members suffered a displaced wrist fracture. Highpoint AR had to reset their race goals when they unpacked their raft and discovered it wouldn't hold air. They sourced another raft, but then had to short course the paddle when a second raft picked up a hole on the Umpqua River. In just the last few minutes, a medic has been called to TA 3 for a possible broken rib on the 4HF Redpoint Ultra team. The amazing thing about AR is that teams may have to pivot, but they persist.
