The Checkpoint Podcast
The Checkpoint is a collaboration between USARA and The DarkZone: An Adventure Racing Podcast. A few months ago, USARA sent out a racer survey. Many answered the call, so USARA board member Brent Freedland and Brian Gatens, host of The Dark Zone, analyzed the results and were inspired to bring racers, both newer and experienced, exactly what they want to know about the sport. USARA is confident the podcast will assist in our mission to grow the sport and strengthen the AR community.
Registration for teams that pre-qualified for the 2024 USARA National Championship will receive an email in February with instructions. For this season and for the future, pre-qualification is based on the results from the previous season’s National Points Series:
30 top-ranked Mixed teams
10 top-ranked All-female teams
10 top-ranked All-male teams
Additional spots will be reserved for the winners of the mixed division in the 2024 Regional Qualifier Races. All remaining spots will be made available on a first come first serve basis sometime in March 2024 (on a day where there is not a race already taking place ;-) As the sport and the USARA National Championship grows, USARA is committed to ensuring the National Championship represents the best of the sport in the most fair and balanced way possible.
