Strong Machine Adventure Racing has hosted the Maine Summer Adventure Race annually since 2016. The event is designed to showcase the most beautiful, interesting, and fun parts of Maine. In the past, racers have kayaked out of Boothbay Harbor and into Casco Bay, trekked across the historic landing spot of Benedict Arnold on Swan Island, climbed to the summit of the Lost Valley Ski Area, canoed down (and up!) the Kennebec River, mountain biked the NEMBA-crafted Bond Brook and Mount Apatite trails, and navigated through downtown Portland at sunset. It’s a race crafted to ensure all racers finish with a smile, from beginners taking on the base course to the top racers in the country gunning to clear all the optional checkpoints.

The start line at Pineland Farms is only a five-hour drive from New York City, a two-hour drive from Boston, and 30 minutes from the airport in Portland, and we’ll have a delicious buffet and local beer (cost included in your entry fee) waiting for you at the finish!
